Scene notes:
Looking south-southwest at dusk, post-sunset, towards the Pacific Ocean and Lincoln Park on the opposite
end of the bay. Low tide, or wind, is responsible for the water’s direction. At the end of the opposing
headlands, Seal Rocks, an outcrop of stones just off the beach, are near the center of the frame. Well
past the time of day where details are apparent to the naked eye, the outline of a cargo ship leaves the
bay, its lights are on as it begins a sea journey at night. The very steep Marin Headlands, the middle
ground, is silhouetted on the ocean, in the lower right.
