Featured in this category, Pike’s Peak is the 2nd tallest mountain in the U.S. that can be driven to
the very top, which has a 360-degree view. It happens to be just a few miles from the sandstone
structures of the park called The Garden Of The Gods far below, with flower-strewn meadows and
park space all around the red rocks.
Here, all sorts of weather events are likely: high winds and beautiful spring days, freezing cold and
snowy winters, and random thunderstorms in the summer; any type of sunset is possible around here.
Further to the north, Rocky Mountain National Park has majestic green meadows and a very high pass,
which happens to be the highest in the country
and starts just 90 minutes outside the city of Denver.
