…Colorful, peak light, magic clouds looking northwest in Banff. The sunrise over Banff National Park.
Lower clouds and the sharp peaks of the mountains on the left of the frame are first to be very
brightly illuminated.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 17 frames.
Humidity on the wooded hills, sunlight and radiant intensity. The thin fog glows,
and individual trees carve the sharp and intricately fading light rays, which are also the farthest
on trees in this collection. The wind blows the fog. As the sun falls off-frame, the colors redden,
and the forest is highlighted in the glow.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
9 seconds and 14 frames.
Many clips of Precipice are like one another, and some share the same scene at different
times. All Precipice clips take place on a steep drop-off, even if that drop is out of frame.
They all have in common a cloud or fog layer either at below the point of view’s elevation
and are at or near sunset.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
9 seconds and 3 frames.
Mixed clouds with no horizon of Earth.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds.
The sun radiates vibrant sunbeams, filtered through the evergreen tree on the left of the frame. The
fog moves rapidly left to right, and as its edges pass through the middle ground, the tree creates
shadows where it physically blocks the light. The sunbeams are most pronounced midway through the
clip. The colors of the glow change from bright gold to Papaya orange.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
21 seconds and 13 frames.
