  • Light shaded through CirroCumulus clouds…

    Scene notes:

… also glow and shifts with the sun’s movement. A six second interval is used. Floridian trees are silhouetted from afar, slash pines and others, dense trees under ninety five percent sky. Where the humid air is glowed upon and the shadows, made from thicker patches of cloud obstructing the glow of the light, changes as the sun moves downward.

  • High-level clouds from horizon upward in patterns resembling feathers

    Scene notes:

Virga falls from a few high-level clouds, while these Cirrus move horizontally with speed on the jet stream and a warm front.

    33 seconds and 26 frames.

  • 2 of 2 | Medium-density Cumulus move slowly in the blue-sky overhead

    Scene notes:

Multiple levels of clouds moving across the sky in differing directions. A Stratocumulus layer with a brief rain shower passes by mid-clip, but the sky is mostly clear by the end, with just a few fluffy clouds remaining.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    33 seconds and 26 frames.

  • Near but not colorful, formation of upper-level clouds moving overhead

    Scene notes:

An example of what happens most evenings with clouds beyond the horizon. No light comes through below to illuminate. The thicker the cloud, the less light passes through it. A finely detailed Cirrus formation with interesting feather-like shapes. For periods of under-lighting, see almost any other clip in the Dawn and Dusk.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    38 seconds and 21 frames.
