… is seen in deep dark colors of stars 1 of 2. Above a cloud which is caught on the mountain it shrouds
this night, the stars whirl. The low cloud has motion blur due to the exposure length. The clouds roll
leftward at high speed, only the slightest outline is illuminated by moonlight. The Milky Way is
slightly visible. There are at least four airplanes that speed through the night.

…the night sky is seen in deep dark colors of stars. After a while the sky awakens as the bright moon
just before dawn, sends pink colors captured by long exposure on Mt Whitney and surrounding
peaks.

7 seconds and 24 frames.
Ominous, towering, coming towards the point of view. These night clouds, partly shrouded by mid and
high-level clouds, would not seem so intimidating if they are not flashing with cloud-to-cloud
lightning- different from heat or sheet lightening, cloud-to-cloud lightening is full-power energy
release, only it never touches the ground. That’s the main difference in the name of this versus
cloud-to-ground. The city orange lights illuminate stratus and silhouette the growing clouds which
appear to light up from within, naturally strong light pollution from a large city.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
18 seconds and 13 frames.
Shadows from mountains in Jasper National Park become longer as the day lengthens. A large number of
glacial cirques can be seen on the snowy cliffs.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 1 frame.
A clip divided by an exposure adjustment. The storm (right)moves into view as the daylight wanes, and
the desert landscape with its red clay dims. In the distance three sharply pointed hills have eroded to
the point where one tiny peak stands out on each mound, rock piles evenly spread around from
crumbling.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
7 seconds and 21 frames.
A 50mm lens at open aperture (f1.4). Far above a mountain peak, a mid-level cloud layer gradually works
its way into the frame, silhouetted in the dark night sky. Coma (comatic aberration) is present at
moderate levels.

7 seconds and 13 frames.
