    Scene notes:

    … in the distance and opposite side of water. The lake is shown from the viewpoint on the hydroelectric dam (out of view) itself. The wind gusts blow on the lake in randomized patterns from the landscape. Comprising four-tenths of the frame, the reservoir holds much of the state’s fresh-water supply and generates significant energy. There are multiple waterfalls visible on the left half of the frame, and fog moves in complex transformations on the erratic direction of wind.

    Scene notes:

    The camera sits inches above rushing water which will flow into Lake Tahoe moments later. Boats are seen constantly motoring into this unique bay of the lake in the background, their wakes following and spreading out behind them. The middle ground is a landscape of rocks and evergreens. The sky composes the top fifth of the frame, with distant and massive growing rain clouds, and the sloping forest landscape imposing onto it.     The sun is blocked by heavy low clouds, which hang over the lake, gloomy but dense and structured. The sun moves low and very close to sunset- but not quite. The light of what gets through the cloud shines on the lake. Original footage from 2005.

    Scene notes:

    Pines and other conifers are framing the sky on all sides of the scene in the early morning above Lake Tahoe, which is surrounded by a forest, and blanketed partially with a fog layer. The sky quickly brightens as high clouds and an airplane contrail turn all the colors of sunrise. The ground is snowy. A similar clip exists.

    The vast Crater Lake is under heavy rolling low clouds that part for the moonlight to briefly shine on the water and allow the few stars visible to shine through.

    The tree line is a silhouette against the glowing sunset light, and is reflected perfectly in the pond. The scene darkens as the clip progresses, and the sun has set.

    Scene notes:

    Tufas are the unique stone structures shown at left in the moonlight, which also make visible the light and fluffy low-level clouds cast night shadows over the distant desert landscape, with stars present.
