    Scene notes:

    Stratiform clouds at mid-level pass far overhead as the camera pans leftward. A yellow foreground of flowers and plants goes in and out of the shade along with the background mountains. A stratus layer on the peaks tumbles and struggles its way over the Sierra Nevada, and a few small clouds of short-lived density play around the altitude of snow and just below the peaks. The view becomes full of more ridge lines of various mountains to the south at the end of the clip. A limited depth of field adds to the clip.

  • Shadows and the breeze on pristine waters of Crater Lake and Wizard Island

    Scene notes:

    The lake caldera spans the frame, with Wizard Hat Island in the upper-right of the frame. The snow on the north facing slopes make the right-side of the frame a winter landscape around the water. The lake itself has many different breezes playing on its surface, owing to the shape of the rim that encircles it. Rocky cliffs frame the lower left and right, with smaller junipers and other species of trees.

  • Stark gold light rays slowly move around rolling lower clouds at sunset

    Scene notes:

    A hole in the cloud cover, and one smaller, scudding cloud in between that and the observer is all it takes for potent light rays to show on the humid air near sunset. The cloud itself creates the shade on the glow and understanding that makes the crepuscular rays logical to understand. The sunlight has radiant intensity, and this shows to the observer the details of the landscape below; trees on vast hills surrounding some countryside and a small pond far away.

  • Hetch Hetchy reservoir in half-fog, with a waterfall

    Scene notes:

    … in the distance and opposite side of water. The lake is shown from the viewpoint on the hydroelectric dam (out of view) itself. The wind gusts blow on the lake in randomized patterns from the landscape. Comprising four-tenths of the frame, the reservoir holds much of the state’s fresh-water supply and generates significant energy. There are multiple waterfalls visible on the left half of the frame, and fog moves in complex transformations on the erratic direction of wind.

  • Extra-light clouds casting a few shadows transforming

    Scene notes:

    The snow-covered rim of both the north and southern rim of Grand Canyon is highlighted under moving lower, fluffy clouds. Clouds from outside the frame cast their dark shadows on the cliffs and rim as they pass swiftly in the winter wind, their transformations almost muted playsinline compared to the clouds of summer. The lower temperatures are responsible for the relatively sluggish air currents around and in the clouds themselves.

    Scene notes:

    …which strobe, creep, and flow in the night sky. The continuation of another clip. High Cirrus, highlighted in red by normal light pollution from one of the most northern towns of Alberta, stand against the bright green of the northern lights. It is likely coincidence that makes the clouds and Aurora seem connected in some ways at parts of the sky. There is no ground horizon shown exempt for a small outline of trees in the bottom-right of the frame.

    Scene notes:

    A continuation of another clip (not in chronological order). The clouds will begin to glow as the sun comes out. High clouds cast shadows on the background headlands until the sun goes ‘below’ them in the sky. When this occurs, the foreground beach and ocean, as well as the middle and parts of the background, come fully into light. The clouds high in the sky are Cirrus.

  • Calm ocean sun goes behind higher level clouds

    Scene notes:

    The ocean, comprising one quarter of the frame, is uncommonly calm due to the Gulf of Mexico, largely shaped and enclosed from the turbulence of the greater Atlantic Ocean by the peninsula that is Florida. The brighter clouds in the upper layer in the distance on the horizon make a glowing layer as a backdrop to lower mid-level clouds, their shapes delicately and finely lit in the dying sunlight. A duo of humans rapidly pass through the frame in the ocean early in the clip.
