The thunderstorm moves past the frame, right to left. The lightning illuminates the cloud
stochastically as the city, outside of the frame, lights the clouds from below constantly. Leaving
behind some of itself as it passes overhead, the ‘cell’ is moved by outflow from other storms.

Panning downward slowly, a slow moving rain cloud complex over a plan during dusk. Rain can be
observed in the distance at the very bottom of the frame, as well as a distant tree line. The clouds
range from strongly tinged pink to Halloween orange as the sunset progresses.

… reddish-tinged clouds from city lights as they pass by over. Demonstrating the power of
city lights in the night sky, long exposures show the bright illumination of passing rain
clouds. These clouds are too stable or short to create lightning, but can make massive
precipitation, as is nearly every day in the summer in this part of the state of Florida.
Their massive size is shadowed but easily seen in the upper-right. Helicopters or light
airplanes are seen flying along the skyline’s altitude.

On rain, light rays are carved by the shade of the clouds which the sun is also illuminating vividly.
Anvil top glow gold momentarily as the frame pans up to the setting where clouds speed by at multiple
levels and pink plays on the highest, intricate details of the undersides of clouds- momentarily.

Thunderstorm – content warning for epilepsy. A dangerous, approaching nighttime thunderstorm with
lightning illuminating the thundercloud from within. The storm has mostly cloud-to-cloud lightning. A
gust front is visible as the high winds make the environment hazardous. The strobing lights below are
made by the passing highway traffic (out of frame).

… by lightning and stationary – content warning for epilepsy. The thunderstorm of the night in the
Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida has no wind behind it to come onshore or make any other
direction- this night storm has both cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning, with strikes
shown, the flashes outlining and silhouetting parts of the storm, including the anvil shape of the
nimbus cloud.
