The sky composes the top fifth of the frame, with distant and massive growing rain clouds, and the sloping forest landscape imposing onto it.     Scene notes:

    Under very light clouds, creeping up its slopes during fair-weather. Its peak becoming more obscured deep in the clouds, Mt Rainier is the subject of the frame, along with a Cumulus cloud that persistently grows. The shade from this cloud casts shadows on the many steep slopes below.

    Scene notes:

    A fog layer that seems to caress the tree line on a hilly ridge just beyond. The camera moves to the right on a dolly over the foreground ledge. A fog bank is contained by the ridge line half a mile away, which extends across the frame. The stratus layer flows over the ridge line slightly, while the sky-blue ceiling in the top quarter of the frame is unbroken by any clouds.

    Scene notes:

    A steady amount of fog pours through, while just above. Without a layer of cloud above, the full brightness of the sun is coming through the canopy at top-right, spreading out as sunbeams on the ferns, mossy rocks, and vegetation of the hill, which climbs 45 degrees and fills a third of the frame. A three second interval is used.

    Fog catches the sun and the shadows of the tall trees cast shadows on the glow. The hillside is steep and falls away from the left frame, covered in ferns and vegetation, which slowly move on the breeze. The fog slowly falls away, taking the sunbeams with it.

Where the humid air is glowed upon and the shadows, made from thicker patches of cloud obstructing the glow of the light, changes as the sun moves downward.
