Cirrus clouds float undisturbed over aretḗ (French for this terrain feature which has no English
counterpart) mountain peaks (center). The southern facing cliffs (right) are largely free of snow,
while others still retain a great deal of it. Cornices shed fresh snow in high wind (middle peaks). The
sky comprises a third of the frame, with the sun visible late clip.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
7 seconds and 16 frames.
…clouds float by overhead and on mountains. White-trunked, orange and yellow Aspens are the dominant
color shown in this grove that lives on the foothills of snowy mountains of the Sierras, which are
steeped in low, fluffy clouds which move steadily through but also linger on the cliffs. The lower left
third of the frame has shrubs and sagebrush.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
6 seconds and 22 frames.
The camera pans to the right. A larger aperture depth-of-field is shown. On the mountainsides, delicate
clouds condense momentarily and evaporate as quickly, small and insignificant in size. Other low-level
and some mid-level stratus clouds are also present. Shrubs with yellow flowers comprise much of the
fore and middle ground.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds.
Left to right: El Capitan, a massive monolith that’s a kilometer in height and straight rock face. The
snowy area tucked away behind El Capitan is Cloud’s Rest. Then Half Dome, the cross-sectioned dome
monolith. Sentinel Rock is the slope which is in front of Half Dome. Bridalveil Falls is closer. Low
clouds float and transform on the forest valley floor and all the aforementioned features.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 2 frames.
The continuation of another clip. The camera’s orientation and position has been adjusted.

Wide-angle view of Sierra Nevada and the deep blue-sky above, panning leftward over the shrublands and
dynamically shadowed landscape from clouds passing by at low, medium, and high altitude.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
11 seconds and 26 frames.
